Indie-rock band Les Sueques, jazz singer Monique Makon, rapper Bad Gyal and folk-singer La Otra. These representatives of four musical genres will perform on one stage; they will sing and talk about the problems of inequality between men and women.
The concert is organized by the municipality of Barcelona in celebration of International women’s day. «We want our citizens to learn more about the feminist movement, and music is a good way to achieve this goal because it can affect the collective consciousness», said City Council member Laura Perez. Many people of different age, sex and belief are expected to come to listen to popular Spanish musicians. The only restriction is the number of music lovers – no more than 1000 people can be in the main square of the Nou Barris area at the same time. By the way, same day there will be an exhibition «Women – creators», which will showcase paintings, sculptures, embroideries, tableware and other useful or simply beautiful things created by the hands of Barcelona female artists and craftswomen.
